The Department of General Education and Developmental Studies offers a transferable academic degree, the Associate of Arts in General Studies  and the Associate of Arts in Teaching . The department supports all of the technical and academic programs at LIT by offering general education courses for the core curriculum and undergraduate degree programs. Developmental Education  courses are also housed within the department.
